Holloway, who sports a sparkling 4.0 GPA and is a mainstay on the Dean’s List, received the honor Saturday morning prior to the NIT chapel service in Jacksonville, Florida.

“From day one Da’Quan has shown tremendous dedication, loyalty, persistence, and effort, not only for this team, but for everything beyond the court as well,” according to Coach Mario Pharr. “I’m so proud of him and can’t wait to see what God has in store for him!”

“DaQuan is truly a model student who has become a recognized leader of our students,” said BLC president Jacques Gilbert. “His academic focus while managing a demanding athletic and employment schedule is extraordinary. I’m proud of this achievement for Da’Quan.”
