Blue Lights College put four players in double figures and recorded its largest margin of victory to date in dispatching Appalachian Bible College 89-49 Monday night in Mt. Hope, West Virginia.

The home-standing Warriors came out of the gate with enthusiasm, playing their first game since the Christmas break and taking a 5-0 lead. Then the Thoroughbreds shook off the sluggishness from their four-hour ride to the mountains and score the next seven points to take a lead they would not relinquish.

Blue Lights (5-12) led by 18 points at the half, and continued to use their quickness work in the paint and build the margin to the final score.

Dominique Hunter led all scorers with 24 points. Jordan Kirkland worked inside for 16, Richard Campbell added 15, and James Evans chipped in 13 off the bench. ABC’s Eric Miller led the Warriors with 19.

The Herd are off until Saturday February 3 when they travel to Summerville, South Carolina to meet SC Faith A&M.
