Blue Lights College led by four points with less than four minutes to play, but Mid-Atlantic Christian went on an 8-0 run and the Thoroughbreds' free throws went awry as BLC dropped its second game in as many days in Elizabeth City, 75-71.
Free throws were a key to the game as BLC (1-2) made just 35% of its attempts (6/17), while MACU (3-0) made 69% of its shot from the charity stripe (20/29).
Kenny Anderson, Jr. came off the bench to lead the Thoroughbreds with 19 points and Anthony Hill, Jr. added 16. MACU's Jabari Richardson led all scorers with 22.
The Herd's next game is Wednesday November 13 at Johnston Community College in Smithfield.
