It's not always how you begin, but how you finish. That was the case Saturday night as Blue Lights College led by nine with five minutes to play, but homestanding SC Faith A&M fought back to claim the 77-76 win in North Charleston, South Carolina.

The final minute was a wild one. The Bulls rallied to take a three-point lead with 30 seconds to play, then the Thoroughbreds hit a layup and followed that with a steal. SC FAM fouled, and BLC hit one of two free throws to tie the game at 76-76. The Herd then committed a foul, with the Bulls hitting one of two to put them back on top with six seconds remaining. The Thoroughbreds were unable to connect in the waning seconds, resulting in the loss.

"I thought we were the better team," said BLC head coach Zach Hendricks, "but we weren't able to finish the job."

The Thoroughbreds (5-13) are back in action this Saturday hosting Carolina Christian College at Hope Community Church in Apex. Tip-ff is set for 2:00 pm.
